A JOURNEY OF THE HEART

It all began on the Nile on an antique Egyptian dahabiya (sail boat) with three friends looking for adventure, mystery and intrigue. The childhood dream of visiting sacred sites and walking where the Pharaohs and Queens once ruled. Traversing Egypt by land and sea from the Pyramids, Abu Simbel to the Red Sea and finding magical moments and people every step of the way.

At the journey’s end in Luxor, the trip brought us to a house in Bairat Village in Valley of the Queens directly across from Medinet Habu Temple. Rose, our founder, purchased the house and began the remodeling process to restore it for a place for spiritual retreats.

The project brought Rose back and forth many times to Egypt where she spent months at a time. She got to know the local villages, the people, customs and this ancient land situated among some of the world’s greatest monuments. She knew she was home. This is how the Heart of Egypt was born.

The Alabaster hearts and merchandise are a collaboration with a  local family from Luxor to connect ancient traditions with the modern times. We are working with Fair Trade artisians with handmade pendant lamps, handwoven bags, textiles, and home furnishings to bring the magic of Egypt back to the U.S.

The Akashic Records are rooted in ancient Egypt so it makes it the perfect backdrop and environment to continue this work and teach.

We will be hosting events and Festivals throughout Egypt in the near future.

The Heart of Egypt is a movement which started with a wish: bridging worlds and helping people come together. Egypt is a rich place filled with mystery, knowledge and beauty.
